About the Sacred Heart Benevolent Fund
The Sacred Heart Benevolent Fund is a confidential support network of former pupils of the Sacred Heart and it was founded in the 1930s. Each year we pay out approximately €80,000.
The needs of those helped are varied and the age range is from 19 to 90! Some needed help with day to day living expenses following a death or business collapse; some needed help following a traumatic event in their lives and others just required once off help to get them over a particularly difficult period. We try to turn nobody down and indeed there are occasions when we would like to be in a position to give more.
Mount Anville Secondary School is delighted to enter the fourth year of our Rose Bursary Programme in the 2025/2026 academic year.
Named in honour of St. Rose Philippine Duchesne, an important figure in Sacred Heart Education, this programme has been developed to offer opportunities to students for whom the social and financial resources to access such an educational experience are not available. Thus far, this programme has proven to be a successful venture for the school and for the students who have joined us as part of the Rose Bursary, and we are all very looking forward to entering our second year.
We're aiming to raise £560,000.00. So far we've raised £100,000.00
